Enviro has many neat features to their gas units, other than offering them in a direct vent, insert and freestanding option. They were the first in the market to patent a Cool Surface System that allows the heat to be redirected so you can lower clearance to combustibles. This means that you can mount your TV lower to the fireplace as well as finish around the fireplace in a combustible material such as drywall.

Enviro also uses ceramic glass, which is optimal for radiating that heat out of the front of their unit. Most of their units come with a cast iron heat exchange, which also helps the longevity of that heat radiating from the unit, and doesn’t require the unit to be on high to get a good heat output.
